  • What do you offer?
At Seaside Therapy, we offer speech and language therapy, dyslexia intervention, and literacy support for children of all ages. Services include evaluations, individualized therapy sessions, and progress monitoring tailored to each child’s needs. We specialize in articulation, language delays, social communication, reading and writing difficulties, and more. Therapy is available via home visits or telehealth for families in the St. Petersburg area. All sessions are play-based, functional, and personalized to help your child thrive in everyday settings. Not sure what service you need? Start with a consultation or free screening, and we’ll help guide the way.
  • What is a speech and language screening?
A speech and language screening is a short, informal check (about 15–20 minutes) to see if your child’s communication skills are developing appropriately for their age. At Seaside Therapy, we offer free screenings during June and July for children ages 18 months to 12 years. These screenings are available in person (St. Pete area) or via telehealth, with no prep needed. After the screening, you'll receive a brief summary with recommendations. While a screening does not provide a diagnosis or guarantee that therapy is needed, it can help identify whether a full evaluation might be beneficial. If next steps are recommended, we’ll guide you through the process with care and clarity.
  • What kinds of children do you work with?
We work with children ages 18 months to high school who may need support with speech sounds, language development, social communication, or literacy skills. This includes children with speech delays, language disorders, autism, ADHD, developmental delays, IND (Intellectual and Developmental Disability), and SLD (Specific Learning Disability), including dyslexia. Whether your child is struggling to be understood, having trouble expressing themselves, or facing challenges with reading and writing, we tailor support to meet their individual needs.
  • Do I need a referral to get started?
No referral is needed! Parents and caregivers can contact us directly to schedule a screening, consultation, or evaluation.
  • Do you accept insurance?
At this time, Seaside Therapy is a private pay practice. Superbills can be provided for potential out-of-network reimbursement.
  • Where do sessions take place?
We offer therapy in your home (St. Pete and surrounding areas) or via telehealth. We work to make therapy convenient and comfortable for your child.
  • How often will my child need therapy?
This depends on their needs, goals, and progress. Most children are seen 1–2 times per week, but we’ll tailor a plan after the initial evaluation.
  • How long will my child be in therapy?
Therapy is individualized—some children need short-term support, while others benefit from ongoing care. We track progress regularly and adjust as needed.
